It is getting closer to Food + Wine time! This festival is definitely a “must-do” while you are at Disney World. All the food, drinks, and live music are a perfect way to spend your day. This is the perfect time to try foods from all over the world and sample different wines, beers, and other adult beverages Some even make it a challenge to have a drink at every booth. (Has anyone ever successfully completed this?)
The full menu for 2015 has already been released. You can view it on the Disney Food Blog.
The Traveling Gals Tip: Be sure to pick up a Passport and get it stamped at every location you try something! It’s fun to see what you’ve tried and a great souvenir!
The Wine & Food Festival is like taking a culinary tour around the world all in one place. Countries from 6 different continents are well represented and often times people from those countries are operating the booths. It is a wonderful time to stop between eating and drinking to be inspired to dream about your next trip! We have been going to the Food + Wine Fest for years and every year Disney adds something new that makes it even more enjoyable. We love all the vegetarian options! We also love that Disney showcases local options as well. The Traveling Gals will be doing a series called Travel the Fest where we will be showcasing different countries and our favorite food and drink picks!
Now, you obviously can attend the Festival and spend a lot of money. There is just so much going on and you want to try as many things as you can. However you don’t have to spend a lot of money while you are there, but you can still enjoy the Festival. Keep your eye out for our Food + Wine Festival $25 Challenge coming soon!
The other part of the Festival that we enjoy are the cooking demonstrations. (Some are free, some require a fee). This is a great way to sit, relax, and learn a lot from the pros!
The Traveling Gals Tip: Register early for the classes, some of them fill up very quickly!
This is not just an event for adults. Kids love it too. With all the food, fun non-alcoholic beverages, music, and activities going on there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
